In his works, Clovis Wieske challenges the boundaries of visual perception with a play of color and form. The artist with roots in the Netherlands and Curaçao, weaves in his works a multi-layered web of influences and impulses. The starting point of his cross-media work is paper, and his tool is often the squeegee, with which he applies color in thick, bold areas. His creative concepts, however, include graphic manipulations, digital elements, and animated projections. In doing so, Wieske creates a fascinating tension between graphic order and the unbridled power of chance in the creative process.
Clovis works as a graphic designer and art director. His passion for conceptualizing and implementing innovative ideas connects him to the creation of projects in collaboration with a range of clients and partners, from design studios and creative agencies to cultural organizations and artists.
