At our new location at Ankerstrasse 24 in the lively Kreis 4 district, we cordially invite you to discover the fascinating world of TIKA with the kids!
On Saturday, 14 September 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00, we are hosting a children's vernissage specially designed for children of all ages (and their parents). Look forward to exciting stories, syrup and crunchy popcorn - the perfect event to explore Maja Hürst's visual universe and your own creativity through the eyes of children. Weather permitting, the kids can also let off steam on the forecourt and bring some colour to the neighbourhood.
The opening exhibition SILVATIKA takes you into the world of TIKA, which Maja Hürst has been developing for over 20 years. While she used to focus on the shapes of animals, in this exhibition she now explores landscapes - forests, rivers and trees. SILVATIKA consists of an installation, plein air paper works and a huge canvas. A particular focus is on the networks between forest animals, which are thematised in the second room of the exhibition.
Maja Hürst, who after painting murals on four continents and numerous international exhibitions now lives in Zurich and Berlin, brings her inspiration from the forest of Steinmaur to our new gallery. SILVATIKA marks the start of our gallery Soon in Zurich and is a must for art lovers young and old!
